William Karfoot:
A Lancashire Co-operator and more
In May 2021 I presented a zoomed paper
with the above title as part of a series of seminars organised by
CHORD, part of the University of Wolverhampton. The content was
largely drawn from my book: Co-operation in Chorley 1830-1880 A
False Dawn which was published last year. Subsequently I was
asked to contribute to the blog for the online seminars drawing out
a particular research question. I chose to raise the issue of the
influence of Oldham co-operators as compared to those from Rochdale.
