I General Data Protection Regulation
As many of you are probably aware new General Data Protection Regulations came into force on 25th May 2018. As part of Chorley Historical & Archaeological Society’s (CHAS) move to compliance with these regulations we are required to have a data protection policy and to make our members aware of this policy.

The attached policy is in response to our perceived obligations under the new regulations. We will continue to review this policy and any changes that are required will be incorporated as a fuller understanding of the new regulations is developed.

The CHAS committee would like to assure everyone that we take the right to privacy of the members very seriously and the security of details is of paramount importance to us.
