There was a great turnout this morning (Fri 7th July
2023) to formally unveil the new plaque in memory of Thomas
Hawksley, Civil Engineer & Architect, who designed and
supervised the construction of the Rivington System of
Reservoirs and Treatment Plant between 1850 - 1857. It is
ideally located on Horrobin Lane, Rivington at the west end of
the Rivington Reservoir embankment. |
